New image of the POPS here, which I believe will be sandwiched between the tower and the new Lululemon store along Yonge:

According to this content creator on IG, they've started removing furniture inside Cumberland Terrace and nearly all stores have announced they're closing in late February:

For my part, there are no demolition or 'new build' permits in process that I can see, only 'building alteration' permits, the majority for floors in the office tower.

Pictures or it never happened! :p
...well back in the latter 90's where my peers thought I was still a "spring chicken" and where I used to work in said tower, mobile devices that took pics while around where still a novelty thing...at least from my needs and budget where concerned. And it doesn't appear UT forums existed before 2005 or something. So all I have is my word in the anecdote. Sorry. >.<

Thank you for that, I think...

...but you see, there two...maybe three things about that:

1) My memory takes photographs for me in exquisite detail, so I never really needed to bothered with a camera. I know I am going to regret this if I get some sort of dementia. >.<

2) When I did take photographs, I royally sucked at it. A rather broad incentive for me to not carry a camera on me at any given time.

3) Even if the first two criteria weren't a reality for me, why would I take a photos of a food court? There's far more interesting subject matter out there than that.

...so you'll have to take my word for it, even if said word is not always "factually" correct. But I will say what I experienced then as a bustling food hall is far different than the tumbleweed town it turned out to be today. Almost as different from night is to day.

And with that, they're likely pulling everything apart here not because any pending construction, demolition or renovation. But because this place is no longer sustainable like this, might as well just make it just a hallway now, and get it done with. /sigh

Nothing doing here. Interior demo doesn't need a permit unless you're touching electrical or plumbing so who knows at this point. It's definitely not for the broader project, though.
