Last time UrbanToronto reported Plaza's Ivory on Adelaide, crews were busy with the installation of the structure's distinctive ribbed exterior cladding. Today we were back looking at the site, located on Adelaide Street just east of our offices, to see the recent progress, and we have another update as the project reaches another small milestone.

With the temperatures having been so low as of late, it's relatively quiet day on site, but the latest is that the installation of the glazing installation has begun and is progressing well at ground level, while work has started on the second floor now too. The dark mullions and tinted glass provide a deep contrast with the geometric grid of ivory coloured precast cladding. It will be interesting to watch the look of the building transform as installation continues towards the 22nd floor on the Hariri Pontarini Architects-designed building.

Our photos also reveal that precast installation is almost complete on Ivory's two tiered podium. When finished, Ivory's 7 and 10-storey podium will surround a front entrance courtyard and park. The renderings of the project in our dataBase file will give you an idea of what to expect.

Stay tuned to UrbanToronto as we continue to follow the progress of this development.
