The splendor of Union Station shines at night when the golden-hued lights illuminate the facade, casting the building in a glow that harkens back to its early days in the Gilded Age of the 1920's. almost a century later and the building continues to impress; the solid doric columns draw your eyes up to the bottom of the architrave, where the traditional Greek key pattern is one of many indicators of this building's steadfast adherance to the principles of Beaux-Art architecture.
