Details of Bazis Inc., Metropia, & Riocan's E Condos at Yonge and Eglinton are beginning to trickle out. Designed by R. Varacalli Architect Inc., the E Condos will feature underground connections to Eglinton Subway Station and eventually to the Eglinton-Scarborough Crosstown LRT, as well as to the Yonge-Eglinton Centre. The two towers in this development will be built around a public square and include street-level retail. Other features of this project will include 20- and 30-foot-high ceilings in the lobbies and a 24-hour concierge. Below is a photo of what the northeast corner of Yonge and Eglinton looks like today.

A couple of weeks ago we revealed the first renderings of the E Condos before the development even had its official name. The original design was rejected by the design review panel and sent back to the developer for revision. Information on the updated design has yet to emerge, but recent news from the developer touts the condos retaining their most unique feature — cantilevered pool decks that project out from the towers. The south tower's pool deck is the white portion halfway up, and the north tower's is the red section at penthouse level. These decks will also include "E-Sky Lounges" that provide lounge and chill-out areas offering pretty cool views of the city.

In addition to the cantilevered pools, each tower will include a floor devoted exclusively to amenities such as a gym, party and games rooms, tech lounges and dining areas designed by Mike Niven Interior Design.

Suites range from 400 to 1200 sq. ft., in studio, 1 bed, 1 bed plus den, 2 bed and 2 bed plus den. All suites will have a balcony.
