Mod Developments' nefarious scheme to grab headlines on UrbanToronto on an ongoing basis by slowly releasing images of their new Massey Tower project is working like a charm. We are hooked! The fourth significant rendering of this tower is now out, we are happy to see it, and we are really just counting the days until the fifth shows up. So, here's what we get with number 4; this is the view from the northeast, with Toronto's Downtown skyline behind, and Massey Hall at the tower's foot.

This three-quarter view of the 60-storey tower shows us what we have not seen before, namely the east and north faces of the tower. Let's take a closer look at the Hariri Pontarini Architects design.

The east, we now know, is treated similarly to the south and west faces with its alternately crimped and white fritted balcony glazing. The north is a glass wall aligned in irregular angles, as if the building is trying to bust out of the Toronto Box mold that most here find themselves in. We look forward to asking more about that in the future. In the meantime, there are many more view in our dataBase entry for the project, linked below. Along with it are the links to the associated UT Forum should you wish to get in on the discussion!
