Today the Trump International Hotel & Tower "officially" soft-launched its hotel component. While the formal grand opening is still a couple months away, the hotel's first guests will be staying in the country's second tallest structure as of tonight. Forum member yyzer has snapped a few photos of the building at street level. Developed by Talon International, the tower was designed by Zeidler Partnership architects.
It's not uncommon for hotels to open before construction has been completed in order to ensure revenue begins flowing in. While those staying at the hotel tonight may relish in the fact that they're the first to spend a night at the tower, wopchop informed us that hotel staff and management have been living there for a few weeks now, albeit without the ammenities and services guests can look forward to receiving.
The residences are not yet ready for occupancy, however for any of you interested booking a stay in the landmark hotel, nightly rates start at $395. If you're interested in living life like the Donald himself, a stay in the 4,000-square-foot Presidential Suite will set you back a cool $20,000.
We've been following this project for years — since its inception — so it's exciting to see it finally nearing completion. For any of you lucky enough to be staying at the hotel over the next few days, snap some photos, and be sure to post them on the project Forum here.
