The sun sets on a booming Toronto in today's Photo Of The Day. Taken by UrbanToronto forum member nopacnone, the shot shows the Entertainment District as it slowly gets invaded by new condo towers.

Right now the main tower on the rise in the photo is Living Shangri-La Toronto. The soon to be 66-storey hotel and condo is the tower sporting the hot pink construction cladding. The tower has approximately 10 storeys to go before it tops off. Developed by Vancouver's Westbank Corp, Shangri_la was designed by James Cheng and Hariri Pontarini Architects.

This scene will change significantly in the next few years as more towers sprout up. Check back with UrbanToronto in five years.
