This past Saturday workers at Trump International Hotel & Tower jacked up the mast that will become the building's glass spire. Here, in this photo by UrbanToronto forum member nicetommy, we see the mast rising above the tower.

A few weeks back we reported that a 900 foot vertical strip of light would soon run along the northwest corner of the tower. We now can see that the mast itself will also be lit up at night. The lighting panels will be mounted around the spire. So not only are we getting something different architecturally but we are getting a new beacon to look at during the night. Excellent news.

Here's what to expect.
