UrbanToronto recently took a tour of Legacy, the first phase at the Monarch Group's Heron's Hill project on Sheppard east of the Don Valley Parkway. Legacy, designed by Graziani + Corazza Architects, consists of four components; a 25-storey tower, a five-storey mid-rise, a single storey podium providing space for a central garden area and hiding the garage and loading areas below, and a three-storey fitness and recreation club.. Today, after a quick look at the project rendering, we start our tour with exterior photos.

The architecture is mostly steel-and-glass modernism, with precast for framed accents. The north side, facing Sheppard.

The south, glassier side.

Above and below, Legacy's signature is a simple square cut from the mechanical box at the top of the building.

Landscaping has started in Legacy's courtyard, and awaits May to turn to green.

Legacy is newly occupying, floor by floor, as the suite interiors are completed. A very few suites remain for sale in the phase.
