Today's Quick Pic by Urban Toronto forum member Jasonzed takes a look at progress on the new Sheridan College campus being built in Mississauga City Centre. Work is nearing completion of the 4 storey campus that was designed by Rounthwaite Dick & Hadley Architects. Bravo to Mississauga for both this new campus along with the Absolute World condos seen in the distance. Good architecture is certainly taking hold here.

Interesting development took place on Saturday during Mayor Hazel McCallion's 90th Birthday Gala. During the event, which was also set up to raise funds for the Sheridan College expansion, it was announced the new campus would be named the Hazel McCallion Campus. Ironic considering the site for the campus is the same land as was associated with the controversy now circulating regarding the Mayor's dealings with her son's past real estate ventures.
