No clock? It might be installed later--hopefully this isn't more cheapening. The clock was one of the few things I was looking forward to about this project: clocktowers are a great aspect of historical architecture, and they're rare in Toronto.

The colours of the cladding also looks quite different from the rendering. (and no, not for the better)

Clocktowers were great when they were actually needed to tell time. Kind of silly to add them to a building today when everyone has one on their phone. Its 2014. Put sometime of interest from today up there if you really need to make some sort of statement.

And yet, I still love clock towers but if that's the case, why mislead people by putting it in the rendering? (if it's so unnecessary in this day and age)

They're the best way to tell time when available. I prefer to look at a clocktower like Old City Hall then to reach into my pocket, pull out my phone, press the button and then put my phone back. That's also why I wear a watch, but the clocktower is the easiest and best option.

I think it's even sillier and significantly more embarrassing that anyone would propose and construct a building that looks like this today.

People like historicism, even if many cheap condos don't do it well. Many aspects of historical architecture are practical, like a clocktower which spares you the need to pull out your phone. That's why there should be a clocktower as originally designed. I'd also like to see more public clocks in contemporary buildings.

These kinds of buildings give you a sense of warmth and welcome as opposed to a glass condos which can sometimes look so...soul-less???

More up on Site. I will give this a B- rating now it almost 100% completed. Would give a higher mark if a few material changes were made. A nice addition to the area and expect more like this over time in the area.

Starbucks has open a store in the retail area already considering all of the sidewalk is not finish nor anyone has move in yet. The fastest retail to open before completion since I stated shooting 8 years ago. It was very busy in the short time I was there.
