Thanks for your email. We understand that it is the city’s objective to open phase two of Underpass Park before the Pan Am Games begin in early July. One of my colleagues discussed with Councillor McConnell’s office last week and I can assure you it’s a priority for the city to open as soon as possible. We are hopeful it won’t be much longer.

Gorgeous artwork. We really ought to have murals on basically every underpass, retaining wall, tunnel, etc. in the city.
Nice to see all those weeds in the grass in the last couple photos. What a joke. Can we even maintain one park in this city?

It seems that the final phase of Underpass Park has opened. Waiting for the rain to subside to run down and get some pix and enjoy this long awaited day!
It will make walking around this area much more convenient and hopefully open up the whole area to more pedestrian traffic.

There's some colour, Torontovibe! It's taken awhile to get this going (and countless calls to 311 to get persistent tags cleaned up in the park) but this looks great.

The second part of Underpass Park is FINALLY open. Apparently there were delays in transferring land from the Province to the City but really.....

Some very rough pix of the new park taken 8 July 2015. Though the Pan Am barricades make it feel fenced in (lol) it makes a huge difference in circulation. Quite a few other people there when I visited.
