I would think it needs a footing...or else it would fall apart during winter.

House moving takes place on Saturday August 13. Road is closed at 8AM with the move to follow.

Sorry i got a brain cramp..i read about it a while ago but was not sure, i guess its going to stay there for good.

Wait...are you also forgetting that the house is coming back to the site after the basement levels are poured? It's being placed beside the other heritage house in the bottom right hand corner of the site in this pic:
