For the past several years we've seen an increasing drift to the carbuncular in our local architecture. Essentially, it's about dismissing the idea that a multi-unit building should primarily express itself as a bold collective entity, offering anonymity to the residents, and trying to fake, or express, the idea of "house", of individuality, of being able to look up from the street and point out exactly where you live, which carbuncle is yours, instead.

Yeah. Nothing wrong with projecting your facade into the third dimension, and these guys didn't invent it. But whatever the style a bit of symmetry and coherence is needed.

(Sorry, not the right thread for that sort of "renderporn".)

We have a front page story about this building here, and a new dataBase listing with lots of detailed images. Start here!

Hah! Whoops…

I was at the sales center last weekend and they mentioned that they were about 50% sold...they have quite a bit still available.

2 possibilities here ... delayed construction or cancellation.
when is the economic viability date on the Purchase and Sales Agreement?

Sorry I didn't mean to open a can of worms here. Just curious as I heard December initially and sales weren't going too bad. The sales office just opened in the Spring so it hasnt been that long. I know if it were a Freed building I wouldn't expect them to break ground for 5 years or so, just really anxious to see this one go forward.

Same here, I think this is a fantastic project. The interior finishes are really nice as well.

If someone had an update, chances are it would have been posted. Re-awakening an old thread to ask for new updates is generally frowned upon around here.
