Hopefully, this area will now get a few nice restaurants and coffee shops (in this complex) to relax in. This part of the city has very few public amenities and places to just hang out.

As much as I hate seeing banks in retail space, I would absolutely kill to see Scotiabank open up around here. There are TWO Royal Banks nearby, a BMO at Lakeshore/Park Lawn, TD in Mimico yet CIBC and Scotia remain missing.

I have to commute down to New Toronto to do any banking (as I have no car) or I usually do it when trolling around the downtown area.

There's going to be a lot more retail in the area between Beyond the Sea, Westlake Village, South Beach, and many more to come, so I think you could afford one bank without killing future street life!

Much needed retail IMO, and would like to see a good variety of storefronts that people would use on a regular basis! I took a walk down in that area the other week and to my surprise couldn't find a single coffee shop to grab a drink to go....unless I missed it. Does anyone know if there is a place nearby? I didn't see anything.

This areas seriously needs some good retail clients and some decent restaurants.Whats the story about Terroni going to be opening a location around Parklawn and Lakeshore....the bartender at Adelaide location was mentioning about that, outdoor patio and bar?..

Maybe in Beyond the Sea? That would be an incredible restaurant to have in the area and totally goes with the vibe of the young professionals moving into the neighbourhood!! If you have any more info please let me know.

Filip will do...we tried Queen Margherita and it was good not great..menu is small and the pizza wasnt that great....Sobey is definitely opening up in the Westlake condo project and what I understand LCBO is planning to lease a unit there also...again this is what I heard so unless you see a sign there stating that fact consider it a rumor...This area is going to be hot for sure,King West is already priced out and I read South Etobicoke has the third highest price increases in the GTA for condos..about %20 increased in pricing in 2010!........

here is the link..

Wonderful! I am too excited to be moving out into Grand Harbour in the coming year or two. The older condos are just so much bigger and better laid out.
