Toronto's newest park, pronounced bee-daw-si-geh, opened this past weekend in the Port Lands. Centred around a newly created winding mouth for the Don River, it looks like beavers — abnormally tall ones — came through and chopped all the trees off, but the trunks are there to create habitat for wildlife to call their homes as the plantings mature over the coming years. In this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor hawc, a pair of swans are nesting next to the new waterway, now home to a growing family. In the background, the city's skyline takes over from the trunks.
