Toronto's new Biidaasige Park juxtaposes the pastoral with the industrial... in an area that was formerly all industrial. By remediating the land, planting it, and carving a new path to Lake Ontario for the Don River to meander through, nature is taking hold again. In this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor GameOnBrad, a major vestige of the past, the shuttered Hearn Generating Station, looms to the southeast. It may one day be the centrepiece for a community that takes good advantage of its parkside and lakeside location.
