A thin line — the 'north plug' — is all that now remains between the waters of the existing Don River mouth via the Keating Channel, and the river's soon-to-be-open mouth through a naturalized channel. In this drone image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor hawc, the original mouth looks like liquid mud to, its waters full of silt owing to the churn created as the land between the old mouth and the new continues to be excavated. To the south, the new rock-lined mouth is clearer and reflects the blue of the sky above. Once the plug is removed in a few months' time, will the new mouth be as muddy as the old river, or will the old river have settled somewhat by then?
