It's still over half a year from opening in January, 2025, but from the outside, George Brown College's Limberlost Place in Toronto's East Bayfront area appears vitrually complete from some angles, including the one in this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor ADRM. Taken looking northwest across Sherbourne Common, Limberlost Place stands out as Ontario's first tall wood building for its warm exterior, and for the dramtically angled solar chimney built into its steep central roofline. The Moriyama Teshima Architects + Acton Ostry Architects-designed building will be amongst the most efficient buildings in the country, with the lowest carbon footprint. To the left is the college's Daphne Cockwell Centre for Health Sciences designed by KPMB Architects and Stantec Architecture, and in the right foreground, the south side of Teeple Architect's zinc-walled skating pavilion at Sherbourne Common. Together, the three make for an uncommonly scenic spot beside Toronto Harbour.
