As urban density and car theft increases, Toronto's demand for safe and secure car storage solutions grows. Responding to this need, ToyBx Industrial Condominium is slated for completion in the Spring of 2026, aiming to provide an innovative option for car enthusiasts and collectors. Situated at 20 Towns Road in South Etobicoke, this facility offers easy access from Downtown Toronto and surrounding areas via major highways. The sale of units has now begun.

ToyBx stems from the vision of Ming Zee, Chris Grant, and Todd Yule, who share a passion for vehicles and a background in public storage and real estate development. The project transforms a former 180,000 ft² distillery into a specialized space dedicated to car storage. With three floors of customizable units, ToyBx is designed to cater to a variety of needs and preferences.

The units range in size, with the base model starting at approximately 700 ft², suitable for housing up to four vehicles using car stackers, to larger spaces that can accommodate a collection of cars. Buyers have the option to purchase a mezzanine or even combine units, creating a personalized storage space, and can even design drive-thru units by purchasing adjoining spaces.

In terms of specifications, the building boasts twin car elevators to transport vehicles between floors, complemented by a passenger elevator for convenient access. Each of the 180 units features 20-foot ceilings, providing ample vertical space for lifts and stacked vehicle storage. There is a proposed Phase 2 construction of a fourth floor, which adds to the building's total square footage, and houses penthouse units with panoramic views, enhancing the appeal for premium car collectors.

Security at ToyBx is robust, featuring a fully-monitored system with cameras covering all common areas and perimeters. Access control systems ensure that entry and exit are restricted to those with authorized credentials at any time of day, with added security measures such as door contacts and motion detectors within each unit. For added peace of mind, owners can monitor their units through an app, receiving notifications directly on their smartphones from fibre service to the project supplied by Beanfield.

The facility's amenities include washrooms, showers, and industrial wash basins on each floor. The wide drive aisles and garage doors are designed to accommodate a variety of vehicle sizes, ensuring easy maneuverability within the building.

ToyBx has unveiled ten model suites to showcase the potential of these units. These suites are now on display at the on-site sales centre, illustrating the high level of customization available. Buyers can work with partners like Garage Living to fully outfit their units, or choose to personalize the space independently, selecting from options like specialty flooring, cabinetry, dehumidification units, electric car chargers, and high-definition audio and video systems.

With pricing starting in the low $400,000s, ToyBx presents a value proposition when compared to the cost of parking spaces in downtown and mid-town Toronto luxury condominiums, and as condominium developments move away from minimum parking requirements in response to the City of Toronto's transit-oriented initiatives. The offering is positioned as a long-term investment and a customizable solution for car enthusiasts seeking a dedicated space for their vehicles in the city.

As ToyBx sales have just begun, it strives to deliver not just a storage solution, but a community for car lovers, bringing together individuals who share a passion for automotive excellence in a state-of-the-art facility.
