The boardwalk that people love to stroll on in Toronto's Harbourfront area is soon to become an option in the Sugar Beach area too, as WaterfrontToronto moves ahead with construction of the first East Bayfront section. In this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor rdaner, piles are being driven into the edge of the lake to support the new structure. While providing more opportunities to stroll along the waterside, the new boardwalk will also provide places for boats to tie up, and shaded shoreline aquatic habitat that will promote the spawning of marine species.
