Today we're looking up at the Hyatt Place and The 203 Residences on Jarvis, a development that provides lots to look at even though it's nowhere close to finished yet. To be a hotel on its lower levels and market-rate rentals on its upper levels, amenities for both will be located between the two sections of the building where the V columns can be seen presently at the top of this image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor skycandy. A few floors below the Vs, a temporary platform used to stage materials extends from the side of the building. Below it, window frames for the hotel suite floors vary in thickness for a somewhat playful effect. Below those and nearest to street level, the hotel's future function rooms and restaurant will have a view of the surroundings through another playful design element; windows enamelled with a pattern of circles on them.
