A1 Development and A1 Capital has shared a concept plan of a potential development they are pursuing at 5320 Yonge Street in North York. The project has recently shown up on the developer's website ahead of them submitting it to the City, looking for more feedback from the public first. Currently the plan is for a 35-storey residential tower with just over 480 units and over 40,000 ft² of retail at grade.

The site is an assembly of four separate properties; 5320, 5324, and 5334 Yonge Street, and 11 Churchill Avenue. Currently on the site are red brick strip-plaza style buildings containing three units of two-storey shops on Yonge...

The architectural firm responsible for the concept design of the project has not been shared yet, but the design of the tower features two framed sections of the tower, with groups of balconies that create a staggered geometric pattern along two sides of a curved facade.
The other two sides of the building, as seen in the first image, features the same frame and staggered balcony sets, but in a more orthogonal fashion.

The development would be a short walk north from the retail and restaurants that line Yonge Street both to the north and south, including shopping malls, and is between North York Centre and Finch subway stations on Yonge Line 1.
We will continue to follow progress on the development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below. If you'd like, you can join in on the conversation in the associated Project Forum thread, or leave a comment in the space provided on this page.
