A lot has gone on since our last comprehensive update on Lifetime Developments and Pinedale PropertiesXO Condos and XO2 Condos. Located across the intersection from each other at King and Dufferin in Downtown Toronto, work is now moving forward on both developments.

At XO2 – the second phase of the project – the demolition phase has recently been completed. Now, rubble and debris sits on the site waiting to be cleared ahead of shoring and excavation work commencing.

When XO2 is completed a few years from now, the building at 1182 King Street West will house a total of 410 suites, spread across 19 storeys.

Across the intersection at XO, though, the first phase has risen significantly since our last check in back in February, when crews were in the process of forming its fourth level.

Now, crews are working on forming its tenth of 14 levels, with fly forms present on the uppermost level. On the lower levels of the building, glazing has begun to be installed, as seen below.

Looking northwest at the building from across Dufferin Street, the south-facing facade of the podium has been clad in red/brown brick-patterned precast concrete panels.

Looking west to the building from Dufferin, though, similar brick-patterned panelling in a grey colour has also been applied. These panels will eventually be stained to match that of the red/brown around the corner from it.

The brick panels are meant to complement the red brick heritage building at the corner; currently being used as the project's presentation centre, it will eventually become retail space.

Once it is complete next year, XO will bring 307 suites to 1221 King Street West in a range of layouts from 450 ft² to 1,250 ft² in area.
