Located adjacent to the Cooksville Creek and set alongside the Dundas Connects transit plan at 86 Dundas Street East, Artform is a condominium development by Emblem Developments in the heart of Mississauga just a block east of Hurontario Street and its LRT, now under construction as well. At the Artform site, the building currently stands one level above grade, on its way to a total of 17 storeys.

Two cranes are installed onsite, working away. From street level a couple weeks ago, we could see structural pillars standing tall, while the walls of the first level are currently beginning to be formed…

…but taking a look from a higher vantage point and with another week or work completed, we can see that there is a lot more going on at the site. While the forming of the first level is underway at the north end of the site, framing of the second level is taking place at the south end of the site, pictured below.

Rebar is also beginning to be laid in the slab form at the southeast end of the site, ahead of having concrete poured overtop of it.

Designed by Studio JCI, the Modernist building will offer an exterior that features brick, metal, stone, and clean glass finishes. The modern interiors will be appointed by U31, while the building's landscape architecture is in the hands of Seferian Design Group

Upon completion, the building will house a total of 336 residential units.
