Profile Developments broke ground this past weekend at the site of its new townhouse development Huntingdale Towns, located at 3079 Pharmacy Avenue just north of Finch Avenue in Scarborough. Local politicians including Jean Yip, Nick Mantas, and Aris Babikian were in attendance, in addition to representatives of Profile and a local food bank, who all posed for a ceremonial 'shovels in the ground' photo that marked the official beginning of construction on the project.

The existing one-storey, 1,654m² commercial plaza has since begun to be demolished, to eventually be replaced by a set of IBI Group-designed four-storey, back-to-back and rear-lane townhouses with ancillary retail. A total of 81 residential townhouses will be constructed in three rows, comprising five blocks and having a gross floor area of 9,855m².

Four grade level commercial units will be constructed at the southwest corner of the site fronting onto Pharmacy Avenue, while approximately 144m² of outdoor amenity space will be located at the northeast corner of the property fronting onto Huntingdale Boulevard.

At the event, a donation to the food bank was highlighted with a giant cheque presented to the Agincourt Community Services Association, which is local to the new development.
