Significant progress has been made on the Artworks Tower and Artsy Boutique Condos complex from The Daniels Corporation, most recently having glazing installed around its 3-storey podium. The BDP Quadrangle and Kirkor Architects-designed complex is located in Toronto's Regent Park neighbourhood on the northwest corner of Dundas Street East and River Street.
Since our last update in August, Artworks has risen from 22 to 26-storeys, and Artsy has topped off at 11 storeys, after completing its mechanical penthouse.
Cladding has been completed on the podium levels, and is now climbing up the north-facing side of Artsy. The cladding is made up of brick-embedded precast panels, which will eventually completely cover both the tower and mid-rise building.
Our last update noted that framing for glazing had been installed along a portion of the building's base. Now, windows are being installed in most parts of the podium, with big sheets of glass making their debut on the side of the building that fronts Dundas Street East.
Upon completion, Artworks Tower will rise to a height of 105.76 metres tall, while Artsy Boutique Condos will reach 42.37 metres. The duo will bring a combined 440 residential units to the regenerating Regent Park community, with 330 suites in Artworks Tower and 110 in Artsy Boutique Condominiums.
