This week's Throwback Thursday takes us to Port Credit in Mississauga, offering a before and after of a new mid-rise seniors' living community soon to open on Lakeshore Road. In June, 2018, a drone aerial revealed drilling rigs were active at the site of 208 Lakeshore Road to begin the shoring phase for the new community from Verve Senior Living known as The Shores of Port Credit. Construction would ramp up in the months that followed with the start of excavation.

Approaching three years after the drone flyover above, and construction has advanced to the late stages for the Global Architect Inc-designed complex, consisting of twinned eight-storey volumes and backed by blocks of four-storey townhomes. Now topped out with distinctive curving rooflines and largely enclosed in cladding, the buildings will combine to bring 318 new condominium and rental units to the Port Credit later this year.
