The first phases of a new condominium community are soon to rise above the intersection of Bathurst Street and Beverley Glen Boulevard in Thornhill. Mid-2020, The Daniels Corporation and Baif Developments kicked off construction on its first pair of Kirkor Architects-designed buildings at The Thornhill, eventually to be four buildings that will range in height from 6 to 25 storeys.

We have been following site activity closely since the first shoring rigs arrived last year. The entire four-building site was excavated prior to sales commencing for the second pair of buildings at the site's west end. Once the pit bottomed out, April saw construction turn a corner with the installation of a tower crane on the footprint of the complex's eponymous 25-storey first phase. When we last checked in approximately one month ago, forming had begun on the garage levels below the first phase tower. The garage will span beneath all of the buildings.

A month later, much of the lowest P3 parking level is in place for the 25-storey tower, and work is beginning on the P2 level above. To the south, another crane has now been erected, allowing forming work to begin for the second phase 15-storey tower known as The Beverley. The majority of P3 walls and columns are now in place on The Beverley's footprint, quickly catching up with the section to the north.

To the west of where the initial pair of towers will rise, excavation is complete and the stage is set for the next phase buildings known as Boulevard at The Thornhill.

The Thornhill will bring 313 units to the area, with another 207 in The Beverley. Sales are currently underway for the 6 and 12-storey Boulevard buildings, which will complete the community with another 257 units.
