Straddling Toronto's Entertainment District and Fashion District, the former Mountain Equipment Co-Op site at King Street West and Charlotte Street is soon to be redeveloped with a 49-storey condominium tower from Plaza, named for its address at 400 King West. With marketing for the BDP Quadrangle-designed tower now kicking into gear, we're getting a preview of the building's U31-designed interiors through a new presentation centre at the west end of the existing building on King West.

Stepping inside the space, visitors are greeted by a minimalist palette of black and white, framing the presentation centre's main features. At the heart of the space, a scale model of the building shows off architectural details from all angles, adding context to the project's exterior renderings. This model highlights the tripartite nature of the building's architecture, with the brick-clad base meant to mesh with nearby heritage buildings, a shaft with white piers that emphasize the tower's verticality amongst the area's cluster of high-rises, and a crown that caps off the building.

Further inside the presentation centre, a mix of suite vignettes and finish package sample boards offer visitors a preview of the building's suite interiors.

A pair of kitchen vignettes show off two of the finish packages, with contrasting tones and kitchen sizes helping to illustrate the range available.

Bathrooms are to feature the same minimalist look, with the vignette below featuring contrasting dark and light finishes and a roomy glazed-enclosure shower.

400 King West will bring 612 units to the area, starting at 600 ft² in area. Residents will enjoy a set of amenities including a fitness centre, party room, and swimming pool.
