With sales now active for Lifetime Developments' first building on Toronto's evolving Dupont Street corridor, information continues to be released about Oscar Residences. Last month, we took a look at the advanced air and water filtration systems that will create a safer environment in amenity spaces of the nine-storey, Turner Fleischer Architects-designed building. This month we're back for a look at the amenity spaces themselves that residents of the 155 suites will enjoy, all appointed by interior designers Mason Studio.
The amenities at Oscar will be ornamented with black and white images by acclaimed Canadian photographer George Pimentel, known for his photographs of celebrities and VIPs. Dovetailing with the awards-themed branding of the project, the partnership between Lifetime and Pimental will heighten the glamour of the building's common areas, including the lobby, seen below. Featuring warm wood finishes, beyond the concierge desk is a spot to lounge in, above which will hang one of Pimental's works.
Oscar's largest grouping of amenities will be located on the second floor, a collection of indoor and outdoor spaces, most arrayed around the base of the building's U-shaped massing.
Among the amenities is a fireplace lounge, doing double duty as an environment where residents can both work from home, or just relax in front of the grand fireplace, set in book-matched marble. Pimental's photography is on prominent display here.
Around the corner from the fireplace lounge will be a Chef's kitchen, offering a space for residents to host dinner parties or other festive functions that would otherwise overflow their unit. A vintage camera mounted on the wall will complement another set of Pimental photos.
A theatre lounge will offer a large-screen television and comfortable seating, served by a mini bar area, where residents and guests can catch a movie or sporting event.
An outdoor dining lounge, framed by the building's U-shaped massing, will offer al fresco dining in the midst of the landscaped space.
Among other amenities on this floor is the building's fitness centre. It will benefit from a new partnership between Lifetime Developments and Freemotion Fitness announced earlier this year, with Freemotion hosting fitness equipment and interactive fitness training both here and in all future Lifetime buildings.
The project's 155 suites have entered into sales, with studio units now available starting from the $500,000s.
