Minto Communities GTA is bringing a new residential community to Oakville's Trafalgar Road and Dundas Street East area with Oakvillage. This multi-phase community has already sold three initial phases of townhomes and condos, and Minto is now moving forward with marketing for Oakvillage's fourth phase, a pair of condominium towers known as North Oak. We took an introductory look at the project last month, focusing on the first of two towers in the BDP Quadrangle-designed complex. Phase one will 20 storeys tall with 207 suites. The second tower to follow in the future will be 16 storeys tall.

Suites are available in a mix of one-bedrooms, lofts, two-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms + dens, with prices starting in the mid-$400,000s. Beyond their own suite interiors, residents are to enjoy a wide array of amenity spaces designed by Figure3 that will combine with the exterior's large expanses of glazing to fill spaces with natural light.

The first of these spaces that residents and visitors will encounter is the lobby, described as a glassed-in pavilion that will connect the first and future towers. It has been dubbed the 'Neighbourhood Nest'. This open-concept, heigh-ceiling space is designed to act as a community living room where guests can socialize or access other nearby amenity spaces that will be available. Features include a grand staircase and an indoor garden.

Accommodating rapidly changing work trends, the building will offer a co-working lounge featuring a range of different work environments like work pods and individual meeting rooms, as well as office features like a printing area and a coffee station. Like other amenities in the building, expanses of floor-to-ceiling glazing will fill this space with natural light.

Both towers will share access to a fitness facility featuring free weights, benches, and exercise machines, a cardio studio equipped with elliptical machines, bikes, and treadmills, as well as a yoga studio, and access to on-demand digital fitness classes with preprogrammed fitness content. Complementing the fitness amenity, wellness-themed spaces are to include a meditation room featuring aromatherapy, light therapy, and an infrared sauna.

The same minimalist aesthetic is present in the games lounge, which uses a limited palette to better frame its centrepiece billiards and card tables. This space opens up to an outdoor terrace, a rendering of which is further below in the article.

Another space with direct connections to the outdoor terrace is the party room paired with a kitchen and lounge space, prefect for residents hosting gatherings and events.

The landscaped outdoor lounge terrace will boast grills, dining spaces, a trellis for shade, plus sculptural seating that offers views overlooking the Oakvillage community, its plaza, promenade, and the Athabasca Pond.
