Over two years since site clearing paved the way for construction of a new mid-rise condominium development just west of Avenue Road and St Clair in Toronto's tony Forest Hill neighbourhood, North Drive Investments' One Forest Hill is fast approaching its final height. The 12-storey luxury condo building includes a heritage-inspired aesthetic designed by Richard Wengle Architect, adding to an emerging stretch of mid-rise residential density between Avenue and Spadina roads.

Crews are now forming the 12th and final residential floor, as well as the first elements of the mechanical penthouse level above. The forming of these structural elements will bring the building to its final height of 44.5 metres.

Cladding installation is now beginning to define the building, incorporating primary finishes of real Indiana buff limestone, which now covers the majority of the podium. Other podium finishes will soon include aluminum-framed windows, a mix of black/dark bronze aluminum details and balcony railings, as well as both granite and marble. The tower levels above will feature limestone-coloured precast concrete panels, matching the stone finishes below.

A reel of aerial footage was recently shared on the architect's Instagram, offering several more angles of the construction work, as well as a preview of the skyline views that will be available to residents of south-facing units on the building's upper floors.

Once complete, the building will bring just 43 units to the Forest Hill area, with interiors and amenity spaces by Gluckstein Design.
