Today’s Daily Photo highlights a brutalist landmark on Toronto’s Jarvis Street. Opened in 1971 as the head offices of Sears Canada, the distinctive 10-storey design from architect Maxwell Miller takes on an inverted-pyramid shape. A few years ago, the building underwent a major $100 million modernization led by WZMH Architects, which improved the building’s energy efficiency while preserving its architectural appeal.
