A proposal for a six-storey condominium development, located just north of Broadview Station in Toronto's Danforth area, has been evolving since it was initially proposed at the end of 2014. Developed and designed by Options Development, the mid-rise, mid-block building at 796 Broadview Avenue has been dubbed Nahid on Broadview by the developer, 'Nahid' being applied as branding for other Options developments. The company explains the Persian name on their website; "Nahid, the Venus, the Hesperus of the morning and evening sky. It is the brightest glow after the sun and the moon. It outshines the rest of the stars, and so we have named our project as such, because Nahid will brighten up the neighbourhood."

While much of the surrounding block is built out with buildings in the two-to-three-storey range, Nahid on Broadview aims to set a new height standard for the stretch, replicating the mid-rise massing set out in the Broadview Avenue Planning Study, which was adopted by Council in 2016. Rising six storeys, the plan features a mix of brick and precast finishes, with the brick cladding terminating at the fourth floor to match the surrounding building heights.

The building would meet Broadview Avenue with 764 m² of street-fronting retail space. Above, 30 condominium units are proposed, 17 of which are one-bedroom layouts with average areas of 71 m². Eleven two-bedroom units average 85 m², and a pair of three-bedroom units averaging 93 m² are also included.

The project's most recent planning submission with the City of Toronto came in May, 2019, filing for Site Plan Approval less than two months after demolition permits were filed for the three existing buildings on site. While these permits are still yet to be issued, the site has been cordoned off and final approvals are drawing closer.
