Just over two years after Menkes Developments crews began site clearance in late 2016 for Fleur Condos, work continues on the 29-storey condominium tower at Shuter and Church streets in Downtown Toronto. Forming is now wrapping up on the underground port of the architectsAlliance-designed building, with the first signs of the ground floor to materialize in the coming weeks.
Shoring began at the site in late 2017, continuing into February 2018, allowing excavation for the building's underground for-level garage and foundations to proceed. That continued into mid-2018, with forming beginning in August 2018, when a tower crane was installed.
The most recent photos from the site reveal that the garage's P1 level is nearly formed, including completed sections that reach grade-level at the Church and Shuter intersection.
Once the last sections of the P1 level are in place, work will advance to the forming of Fleur's three-storey podium, set to house a mix of retail spaces, common residential spaces and amenities, and residential units. Upon completion, the building will introduce 320 new condominium units to the area.
