Adelaide Street West boasts some of Toronto's most impressive recent intensification. The one-way eastbound street running through the city's Financial District is surrounded by many of Canada's tallest buildings, with the stretch through the east side of the Entertainment District becoming home to more and more high-rise condominium developments.

The stretch west of Spadina, however, is home to a growing collection of mid-rise developments, scaled to suit the lower skyline already existing and envisioned to continue in this area. At the intersection of Brant and Adelaide Streets, one such condominium development — Lamb Development's The Brant Park Condos — is now hinting strongly of its ultimate look as the structure is complete and final exterior details are being installed. Designed by architectsAlliance, the 11-storey condominium block draws inspiration from the elegant simplicity of Mid-Century Modernism and the International Style which sprung from the Bauhaus movement of the 1920s and 30s and other practitioners.

Since our last update on the project, glazing has sealed off most of the building, while a white, smooth stucco finish has been applied to the ribs of the gridded exterior, including the geometrical ornamental framing the two upper levels. The upcoming installation of balcony railings and glazing is the last major step for the building's exterior

Upon completion, The Brant Park will add a total of 243 condominium units to Toronto's hip King West area. Residents of the development will have access to amenity spaces appointed by II BY IV DESIGN, including a fitness centre and party room.
