In the years since the project was first announced in late 2010, what was once a sleepy row of suburban single homes and mature trees in North York has given way to the recently completed Celsius Condos. The creation of developer Shiu Pong, the design team included Kirkor Architects Planners, ESQAPE Design on the interior fit-out, and Land Art Design on the greenery. Celsius now promises residents a vibrant urban lifestyle, in the heart of what has transformed from low-rise suburbia into the increasingly bustling North York City Centre area.

Evident in the above photo, Celsius has been designed as a mixed, townhouse and tower combination, offering residents a choice between a ground-hugging three-storey layout complete with private underground parking and rooftop terrace, or a high-rise suite experience, as offered in the adjacent 18-storey tower. Together, the 20 townhouses and 212 high-rise units bring a total of 232 units to Churchill Avenue at Canterbury Place, in a quiet but revitalizing residential neighbourhood nicely setback from the hustle and bustle of nearby Yonge Street.

Celsius' 20 townhouses, ranging from roughly 1,000 to 1,500 sq. ft., offer residents all of the comforts of traditional suburban lifestyles, matched with a contemporary design, and full spectrum of high quality finishes. The townhouses all feature built-in fireplaces and beautiful rooftop terraces, along with a selection of flooring, tiling, and colour palette options. Parking is made easy with each unit equipped with its own underground space.

The adjacent 18-storey tower provides residents with easy access to the buildings' many amenities, including a two-story lobby with 24 hour concierge service, along with a lounge, party room, multimedia room, guest suite, and full-service cocktail bar and green roof open to residents and their guests. Celsius' tower units range from studio to two bedroom, and range from approximately 375 to 1,250 sq. ft. 

Now complete, Celsius has joined a host of other recent and ongoing condo projects in central North York, the area having become a bustling hive of activity in the last decade, the continued intensification along both the Yonge and Sheppard TTC subway corridors having brought slice of urbanity the once solidly suburban corner of the city.
