Construction is nearly complete and it won't be long until residents begin moving in to NY2, the final phase of The Daniels Corporation's multi-phase NY Towers community at Bayview and Sheppard in North York. To prepare the 7-storey, Core Architects-designed development for its first occupants, model suites have been staged to help both purchasers and interested parties visualize possibilities for decorating and furnishing their soon-to-be-completed units.
The models at NY2 feature unique layouts complete with 9-foot ceiling heights, floor to ceiling windows, bamboo flooring, granite kitchen countertops and stainless steel appliances. “Touring the model suites offers people an excellent idea of just how beautiful these designs are,” says Daniels’ Director of Décor, Stephanie Dimopoulos. “The models feature main living areas that can accommodate a variety of furniture configurations, and a generous bedroom window overlooking the balcony. By walking through the suites, visitors can easily envision how their layouts can be appointed, furnished and decorated to suit their personality.”
Occupancies of the 140 condominium units are on track to begin this Spring. Residents at NY2 will have a wide variety of amenities to enjoy. On the first floor, the NY2 Café lounge will offer residents free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV; a fitness centre featuring cardio and weight-training equipment; and 24-hour concierge service in the lobby. Upstairs on the seventh floor, the Uptown Club will house a lounge, places to sit and relax, a party room with a central bar, a catering kitchen, family-style harvest table, and an outdoor barbecue terrace. As with other Daniels Corporation projects, rooftop urban gardening plots have been included on the building's roof terrace, giving residents a place to grow fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices without the additional costs of owning a backyard. The outdoor roof terrace will also feature a dining area, overlooking the surrounding city.
The units at NY2 are over 90% sold out, and the remaining units are still available for standard purchase, as well as through Daniels' revolutionary Rent2Own program. Buyers taking advantage of the Rent2Own program will have part of their monthly payment credited toward the unit's down payment, and the total amount accumulated will be applied toward the 5 per cent down payment. At the end of the year, the purchaser(s) then top off the 5 per cent down payment for closing.
