What was originally a single, intimate building called Two Gladstone, is now just the first of a whole cluster of contemporary condos, soon to form their own small community. Streetcar Developments' latest projects, 8 Gladstone and The Carnaby, are the hip and modern siblings now adding to the area with their construction moving at a steady pace. These homes situated in West Queen West promise the ideal living experience for anyone looking to indulge in a chic, urban lifestyle, amongst a uniquely European inspired laneway setting.

8 Gladstone is the further along of the next phases. You'll see from its exterior that the building is all but complete outside, with the focus now on interior finishings. Outside, crews are still finishing up the last few balconies, with most of them done.

In the following photo you can see the back of 8 Gladstone with its garage levels ready to be attached to the adjoining construction for The Carnaby. The excavation of its 20-storey first phase is making progress. The southern not-so-deep portion at the back of the photo will feature a Metro grocery store and podium amenities for the residents. The tower will rise above the deeper excavation in the foreground of the photo, while the next phase, Carnaby Row, will be built to the left of what we see here.

Between 8 Gladstone Ave and the Carnaby will be a European style mews replete with shops, while to the west of the complex will be a new park bordering Dufferin Street, along with a new connection to the coming extension of the West Toronto Railpath. The complex's design is by Tact Architecture.
