The scaffolding and covered walkway that protected pedestians from construction work on the Aura at College Park by Canderel Stoneridge has been taken down as retailers get ready to do business in the tower's podium. The sidewalk that surrounds the Graziani & Corazza-designed Aura has also been refinished and widened to accommodate the increase in pedestrian traffic for the new retail and condo units in what will be — at 78 storeys — Canada's tallest residential tower when complete. Some of our Forum members have been busily taking photos of the latest developments at Yonge and Gerrard.

Retailers Bed Bath & Beyond and Marshall's will occupy the second and third floors of Aura's podium.

As for the progress on the Aura's tower, the next couple of shots show that it is over 30 storeys tall as of now, which leaves more than 40 storeys still to come. It is scheduled to be complete in 2013.
