The City Of Toronto is very helpful to UrbanToronto when it comes to obtaining renderings early. All major development proposals must attach a development notice an the location of said development. This is to allow area residents to know what is being planned. It also allows us to get an early glimpse. Today we have photos of the notice for the proposed 460 Yonge Street condos.

The plan is for a 60 storey, 198.5 metre tall condo with retail on the first and second floors and office use on the third floor. The tower would contain 599 residential units. 6 levels of underground parking for 196 cars and 608 bicycle spots would round out the building. Here's an early look at the tower.

So far the reaction is mixed within the UrbanToronto forum thread for 460 Yonge. We at UrbanToronto reserve judgement until a proper rendering is released but this does give us an idea of what's planned.

The project is being developed by Canderel Stoneridge, who are currently building the 75 storey Aura at College Park condos a couple of blocks south at Yonge and Gerrard. No word on the architect yet but Canderel does favour Graziani + Corazza Architects

Stay tuned as we get more information.
