It has been a while since we've turned our sights to the re-cladding that's taking place at First Canadian Place.

Taken from the 48th floor of Trump Tower by forum member wopchop, today's Photo Of The Day shows the top 20 floors of the 72 storey office tower now completely re-clad. It also shows how much sharper the glass looks compared to the stone cladding at the bottom of the picture that's getting ready to be replaced.

Owned by Brookfield Properties, the tallest building in the country is being re-clad because the original stone had a tendency to want to fall off. The new glass cladding will last 100 years before it needs to be replaced. It also won't fall off by itself.
