Yonge Street Media launched the first issue of their new online magazine today.

"Yonge Street is a weekly online magazine named after the Toronto region's main street and the spine that ties us altogether. Our mission is to see the future in what is working well in and around Toronto today. We will focus on the talent, innovation, diversity and quality of life stories in the region - all the things that create an incredible demand for this place and keep it growing. Yonge Street also seeks to publish the news in a way that reflects the community and helps us all understand it better in both the 416 and 905.
We're interested in how and where the Toronto region is growing. Each week a series of in-depth features will look at some of the places where that growth is happening. Our Innovation and Job News section will focus on companies that are growing and adding people while our Development News section will cover the new buildings and structures going up throughout the area. As well, keep an eye on our In The News section for relevant articles on the Toronto scene from local and international media. New economy growth is happening in sectors like city building, design, healthcare and wellness, higher education, sustainability and transportation. This region's commitment to research and innovation as well as its celebration of its diverse population make it one of the most potential-filled places on earth.
