...They really still don't get it.
Time for them to flip it to someone else, this is a hopeless endeavor with Sorbara Group.

What would you tweak specifically in this regard? The layout is extremely suburban and wasteful, far too auto-centric.

Ah I see the vision now, I must say I had a hard time imagining this quite isolated corner of the city seeing any kind of development that wasn't highly suburban.Since you asked
Changes in summary:
Reorganized building massing to eliminate large turn around and interior vehicle access w/useless courtyard.
Shifting public road access slightly to west and positioned easterly portion to the north.
Vehicle access points are all near the arterial road access p
Add space adjacent to school yard for St. Simon Catholic with usage agreement allowing school use during day/community use of combined yard/park after hours and in summer.
Maintained heights on Weston Road and the westerly portion of Walsh.
Reduced heights on the southern most buildings to increase sunlight penetration to both the public-realm and south-facing units in the northerly buildings.
Offset that, in part, by creating a new building where the park used to be.
Might also be room for one additional tower form in the southern block, but I haven't done the math.
Density would be similar, but possibly slightly lower; I would lower it further mind you by enlarging average unit size.
New forest at south end will mitigate road/highway noise and pollutants, small, slightly symbolic, but beneficial. Not intended for public interior uses, just dense tree cover.
May they forever rest in shame in Huang & Danczkay oblivion.G+C must be banished from Toronto and GTA for good. Let them go out of business in a metropolis that (in my view) is slowly but surely starting to turning the corner on aesthetic standards for the past few years.
Even G+C has started to build half-way passible stuff, though far from universally.G+C must be banished from Toronto and the GTA for good. Let them go out of business in a metropolis that (in my view) is slowly but surely starting to turn the corner on aesthetic standards for the past few years.
