I received some updates from my friend regarding the building. She said people are still living there. It sounds like they will be there for a while longer. Apparently they've been living with no heat but still holding out (few space heaters here and there and I am told it's not enough) The city is well aware of it so they can't issue any permits for the time being. I am also told there are multiple violations and talks of fraudulent paperwork by Aspen Ridge Homes to evict people and the issue now has gone up the chain to the federal government, aside from the provincial courts and the housing critic and as a result, Aspen Ridge Homes are facing some large fines. I am also told there's talks of class action lawsuit. It seems like this project will take a lot longer than predicted but also they might never get their permits due gross negligence and violations. There have been quite a few condo cancellations in the city this past year due permits, so I wouldn't be surprised. I'll update everyone as I get more info.1st Post/Reply
