How was it lit up?

I just looked two pages back and can't BELIEVE the interior design and finishes in the amenities areas-- looks amazing! A+ Tridel!

Hey SP!RE, it's just some diffuse white lights, directed at the circular crown - maybe an intrepid Mississauga photographer can capture one day - my point and shoot is useless at night...

Today, Mississauga City Council recognized three recently completed projects for outstanding achievements in design excellence at the 29th annual Mississauga Urban Design Awards presentation.

“Good urban design creates vibrant communities and unique neighbourhoods,” said Planning and Building Commissioner and jury member Ed Sajecki. “The level of innovation demonstrated by this year’s winners represents the City’s highest design standards and helps define Mississauga as a place where people want to be.”

Awards were presented in three categories during this morning’s Council meeting. The winners are:

Award of Excellence:
AeroCentre V
5550 and 5570 Explorer Drive
(Sweeny Sterling Finlayson &Co Architects Inc./Strybos Barron King Landscape Architects Ltd.)

Award of Merit for Community Scale and Execution:
Courtyard House
1255 Birchview Drive
(Huy Truong, Designer)

Award of Merit for Context:
Ultra Ovation
330 Burnhamthorpe Road West
(Turner Fleischer Architects Inc./The MBTW Group)

The Mississauga Urban Design Awards is in its 29th year and is the longest running awards program of its kind in Ontario. The annual competition demonstrates the City’s leadership in setting high standards for urban design and is open to architects, designers, planners, landscape architects, engineers, developers, owners, contractors, consultants and the general public. A wide variety of project types are eligible, including residential, commercial, industrial, recreational, mixed-use, streetscapes, public utilities and projects which adapt or preserve existing structures. Eligible projects must have been completed prior to September 10, 2010.
