@Coolibop It's one of the problems they're trying to solve.You had to look out the window for signs on the platform, listen for station announcements, or tilt your neck 90° to read one of those digital screens. How perfectly quaint!

Yes. Even without knowing your GPS coordinates.
It might be computationally expensive to do the dynamic searching. For non-royale users they even limit the number of options you see when searching for a route. To do a reroute you need to repoll yourself to look at alternate route options.
