TTC CLRV Streetcars: Where will they go once they are retired?

TTC CLRV 4170 was shipped from HCRR and is now at American Mining Museum. CLRV 4024 will be the next car to be shipped to American Mining Museum. Don't if this for Canada or the US Site.

Word is that CLRV 4133 will not be going to Seashore from HCRR as plan years ago and it may end up being used for parts and scrap

Taken 3 years for those cars to reach their new home after leaving TTC property early 2020 for HCRR property. At least they still exist and have a new home.

Back in the last years of retiring CLRVs, I used to head down to Russell carhouse on Queen Street quite frequently to photograph the piles of retired cars. I'm attaching some of those photos, which could now, astonishingly, be considered archival, to this thread now.

^When I pass by Russell, those (now often empty) tracks at the west end bring back lots of memories of stored CLRV's.

Boy, time sure goes by fast.

Now I’m not saying there’s a connection, but the whole world seems to have gone to shit soon after we got rid of these five years ago.

If that ain't the damn truth... seriously. Everything went to the dogs after they retired... I miss them so much. Riding them, seeing them, and photoing them. The weather today actually has been very much like that fateful day 5 years ago. Rainy, dreary, sad. But 5 years ago today, Toronto, transit fans like you and me, and really just everyone as a whole, said goodbye to not just a good fleet of streetcars, but icons of the city for decades. They had such an impact on the city, both as icons of transportation and and also as cultural icons, too. So I will never forget that day for the rest of my life and been honored to have been in attendance on the day they retired. I will forever miss them and still cherish all the memories I had of them.
