They really botched that heritage building. It doesn't give one much confidence in a developer when their incompetence is in plain view. If they can't get that right, what else are they incapable of doing properly?

I remember the first community meeting for this, when Roland was talking about the different kinds of stone they were looking at to clad the black bump out. Really glad they settled on 'cheap, oil canning aluminum panel' on the final product. Great work all round!

The pedestrian walkway on the side of the building to be named as "Travellers' Way":

"This name reflects the importance of the heritage building at 17 Dundonald that stood on the east side of the walkway. The new development at 17 Dundonald has added etched plaques outlining the history of the original building. It also speaks to the many travellers who daily use the walkway as a connection to the TTC and our green spaces."
"The historical building at 17 Dundonald St was incorporated into the condominium building, ´Totem´ in 2016. The facade of the original building still remains at the base. An additional entrance to the Wellesley subway station was added. This historical building was once home to The Commercial Travellers´ Association of Canada which was incorporated in 1874 as a society to support commercial travelers who can be defined as : “a man, whether employer or employee, who travels statedly as a salesman for a wholesale business to take orders from dealers or manufacturers for goods which shall be sent afterward.” The association moved into the Dundonald building in 1955."
